Another Busy Weekend for Spark-Risk

Another busy weekend for Spark-Risk, as we were hard at work producing a whole Emergency Plan for one of our clients in Wigan.

This Care Home required a set of documents produced that demonstrated they have clear policy and procedures and a strategy in place, should the need arise, for safe evacuation of all persons present at the time, whether that be staff, contractors, residents, or visitors.

A procedure was established for the residents that involved a progressive horizontal evacuation, whereas for all other persons it should be a single-stage simultaneous evacuation.

Another requirement for the Home is that there are designated fire wardens present on each shift, and the Spark Risk team have carried out training sessions with all relevant staff to improve and educate them on Fire Panel Awareness, practical use of Fire extinguishers, and worked through some realistic scenarios to monitor their performance.

Feedback from the staff undergoing the training was that the sessions were extremely enjoyable yet valuable to their experience and knowledge, and they felt far more confident thanks to the method of delivery and the expertise of their trainer Steve.

If you would like more information on how you and your staff can benefit from a similar training experience and development of any plans or strategies, and receiving the accompanying certifications, CONTACT US and we’ll be more than happy to discuss your requirements.
